“I am a highly self-motivated individual who believes the impact of the theatre is immeasurable. I pride myself on being creative, organized, and professional. I also strive to use innovative ideas in all performances I am involved with, and I have a passion for all aspects of the arts.”
Jenn Hunter is a director, teacher, actor and improviser in Portland, Oregon. She is currently teaching and directing at Mt. Hood Community College. She graduated with an MFA in Directing from University of Portland, where she most recently directed Rumors by Neil Simon and Lee Blessing’s Eleemosynary. She also performs with several Portland theatre and improv companies.
Before attending University of Portland, Jenn was a director and drama teacher at University High School in Spokane, Washington, where she directed over a dozen musical and non-musical productions. She was the Artistic Director of ComedySportz in Spokane and an actor/director for a national tour of Missoula Children’s Theatre.
In Portland she performs with ComedySportz, Curious Productions and Brody Theater, and was seen as Cookie in the Anonymous Theater production of Rumors presented by Theater Vertigo.
In addition to her MFA in Directing, Jenn also has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Montana and a Masters in Education from Eastern Washington University. She has also studied the Meisner Approach to Acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.
